Your inner child

Enlightened people are like children. With their senses wide open, the curiosity of new knowledge and insights. They experience things that others don’t notice right away. Like moods, smells, tastes, characteristics and more. Remember that what children experiences and what makes an impression on them for a walk in the woods, can be entirely different from what an adult planned the trip to be about. A watching human senses those experiences and brings learning and understanding, just as a child does.

"Your inner child" is an expression often used in conjunction with therapy sessions. Deep inside us, we are all still children, even in adulthood. Emotionally we are as a child inside us. Simple, clean and uncomplicated and all we want is love. When we are disappointed, upset or hurt, the child in us responds. If you have difficult memories associated with your childhood, talk lovingly to yourself as a child, even though this is difficult, this can help you deal with painful emotions.

It should be safe and carefree to be a child. By virtue of that, we are children of God; we won’t have to worry about anything. Children normally should be able to trust their parents, to always be loved regardless. Such unconditional love is what we are "familiar with" where we come from. From the source, which is actual, home for us.

Therefore, it will follow us through our life on earth, this longing for everything only to be love. Many of us strive, often out entire life to achieve this state again.
